Luca Brecel Exhibition

On August 6th, 2023 Luca Brecel visited Seattle for an exhibition. During the exhibition he played a frame with 10 people from the area and one from Canada. Each player had a picture taken with the current world snooker champion before their match. The event was sold out with over 43 people in attendance. The demand for this event was strong and some tickets were sold late as standing room only.

The beautiful pictures in the gallery below were taken by local talented pool player, Tom Akin. Thank you, Tom for your work.

During the evening, Luca signed posters, cue cases, snooker balls, and other items people brought for him to sign. He was very personable to everyone and they all were star struck. Once people saw him signing a poster, a long line formed behind them as if someone rang a bell. Pictures were also taken and Luca made sure to spend time with each person.

At the end of the evening, people had a chance to ask him questions. The questions ranged from his practice routines to his new car and everything in between. Someone asked about his experience in the US and he said he and Laura had a great time on the west coast.

Inspiration was in the air throughout the evening. The crowd and players had smiles on their faces as Luca entertained us all. Some junior players were in attendance and I am sure this experience will inspire them to keep at this great sport. We are very thankful that Luca made the trip oveer to this part of the world. He made a positive impact and left us wanting more.

Luca had a great time in Seattle and we hope to have him back here someday. He is a down to earth person and easy to have a good time with. He and Laura had a private dinner with our sponsors (Dave Daly, Jesse Ou, and Prathamesh Sawant) and they had a private session with him afterwards. We all knew Luca is a skilled players, but who knew Laura can play a bit of pool too! If she was to play APA, she would start out as a 5, imo. It was a fun night.
